Cristiano Ronaldo has previously stated that after retiring from football, he plans to become the owner of a football club. Today, new details have emerged regarding which club he might be eyeing.
Details: According to the Twitter account Futbol del Sr. Destrangis, Cristiano Ronaldo is planning to acquire legendary Spanish club Valencia.
In recent years, Los Murciélagos have struggled both financially and on the pitch, with the club sinking into deep debt. Their performances have also been disappointing, while fans have long turned against the current owner, Peter Lim. Ronaldo reportedly wants to change that.
To facilitate the deal, Ronaldo has allegedly secured financial backing from Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
Under this arrangement, the sheikh would handle the club’s financial matters, while Ronaldo would take over the management role after retiring from professional football.
This information was circulated by the Twitter account Futbol del Sr. Destrangis, which has only 5,500 followers.
"The Portuguese star continues to shape his project for the purchase of Valencia," the post claims.
A key component of the project is securing an Arab investor.
With the emergence of Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Saudi Arabia’s crown prince) and the current club owner, as well as Cristiano’s involvement with three Saudi Pro League teams, this aspect of the project appears to be nearing resolution.
"Cristiano’s project is almost ready."
The account also promises to reveal more details on its YouTube channel.
"This Thursday, I will explain everything about Cristiano Ronaldo and Valencia on YouTube," the mysterious user announces.
"After a long absence from YouTube, I am returning to this segment on Thursday. And what better way to make a comeback than with this exclusive on Cristiano and Valencia? Don’t miss it!"
Interestingly, Futbol del Sr. Destrangis has fewer than 500 subscribers on YouTube. Even the claim that Cristiano is buying Valencia has failed to generate a surge in followers.
For now, all that remains is to wait until Thursday to see whether this supposed inside information holds any weight.
Reminder: Recently, Ronaldo celebrated Saudi Arabia’s Foundation Day alongside the Crown Prince.
