After the dismissal of Domenico Tedesco, the Royal Belgian Football Association has finally decided on the new head coach for the national team.
Details: According to Sasha Tavolieri and DAZN, renowned French manager Rudi Garcia will take charge of the Belgian national team.
A press conference is scheduled for 1:00 PM Central European Time, where Garcia will be officially introduced as the head coach of Belgium.
Garcia will debut in his new role during the playoff matches for promotion to League A of the Nations League against Ukraine.
In the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, Belgium will face Kazakhstan, Wales, North Macedonia, and Liechtenstein.
Garcia’s most recent managerial role was at Napoli. Before that, he coached Al-Nassr, Lille, Roma, Marseille, and Lyon.
Reminder: Previously, Thierry Henry was considered the favorite for the Belgium head coach position.
