Roy Keane reveals which Hollywood actor people mistake him for

Manchester United legend and former captain Roy Keane shared on the Stick to Football podcast that he is often mistaken for a famous Hollywood actor when walking down the street. The Irishman revealed that people frequently confuse him with Mad Max and Lethal Weapon star Mel Gibson.

Keane recounted how strangers have called out "Mel" to him on multiple occasions. However, he didn’t seem particularly flattered by the comparison, joking that Gibson must be around 80 years old by now—though in reality, the actor is only 69.

Keane’s fellow podcast hosts agreed that being likened to Gibson should be taken as a compliment. Wayne Rooney, in particular, was quick to point out that it’s certainly better than being compared to Shrek—something Rooney himself has endured for years.

Despite his recent dismissal from Plymouth Argyle following a disastrous run in the Championship, where the team sits bottom of the table, Rooney remains determined to pursue another managerial opportunity in the future.
