Rooney's verdict: Manchester United legend predicts Tottenham's relegation from the Premier League
Former England and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has shared his prediction about the future of London club Tottenham Hotspur.
Details: Speaking on the The Overlap podcast, Rooney admitted that his outlook on the Spurs' prospects this season has changed dramatically.
"For the last few weeks, I didn't believe Tottenham could go down. But after watching their last few matches, I think they're heading to the bottom," Rooney said.
Rooney's words come against the backdrop of a deep crisis for the London club. Under Igor Tudor's management, the team is showing the worst results in its modern history, failing to win any of its last seven matches across all competitions.
It is worth noting that Tottenham currently sits 16th in the Premier League, just one point ahead of West Ham, who are in the relegation zone.
Reminder: Tottenham are preparing to enter the race for PSG midfielder Lee Kang-in.
