Ronnie Gabriel on his midfielder Lindokuhle Zikhali: I think he deserves to be the Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season in this campaign

Ronnie Gabriel tips Richards Bay’s Lindokuhle Zikhali to be this season’s Betway Premiership Young Player of the Year Award.

The Richards Bay coach said Zikhali has been one of the PSL’s finest youngsters this season and that’s why he deserves the Young Player of the Season gong.

Zikhali, 21, has made 30 appearances for the Natal Rich Boys this season and has scored twice is the reason Gabriel sees him as a potential winner of the award.

“Zikhali has been fantastic. I’m sure you see the numbers, you all see the stats,” said Gabriel.

“He’s up there with the best in this league yet. Young player of the season, he can compete with anyone on his day.

“He showed his value to the squad. He showed his competence at this level here. And the good part of it is that he’s improving on a daily basis.

“Training sessions, games, each game you can see the kid is growing and he’s reaching different levels.

“So, we are happy so far and if he can get that type of award, we’ll be very proud of him from the club side.”
