Ronaldo's sister blows up the internet again. Is Jorge Jesus finished?
Elma Aveiro has added even more fuel to the fire surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portugal national team.
Details: Cristiano Ronaldo's sister published another striking message on Instagram amid the escalating controversy involving her brother and Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus. Elma wrote:
"Betrayal is a dish best served cold, and what goes around comes around. The only way is the way forward."
The timing of the post immediately attracted attention. Ronaldo recently left Portugal's national-team camp following several turbulent days around his role in Jorge Jesus' squad, including a match against Norway in which the legendary forward remained on the bench.
Cristiano subsequently confirmed that he had decided to leave the camp after the coach's press conference and a conversation with Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proença. The federation later officially confirmed the captain's departure.
Elma did not mention Jorge Jesus by name in her latest message, so it cannot be stated as fact that the words about betrayal were directed specifically at the Portugal coach. However, given the timing and the ongoing dispute around Ronaldo, the post quickly triggered another wave of speculation on social media.
This is not Elma's first public reaction to the controversy. Earlier, she had strongly defended her brother and questioned the structure around the national team as well as the treatment Ronaldo has received during the latest episode.
It is worth noting that UEFA currently lists Cristiano Ronaldo as the record holder in men's international football for both appearances and goals, with 234 Portugal caps and 146 goals.
