A scandal is unfolding in Saudi Arabia around the potential transfer of Karim Benzema, which has come under criticism from Cristiano Ronaldo. The move has now been put on hold.

Details: According to Sacha Tavolieri, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport has stepped in and suspended Benzema’s transfer to Al-Hilal under pressure from Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star is unhappy with the fact that Al-Nassr are receiving less funding for transfers than other clubs.

We previously reported that due to Ronaldo’s intervention in the Benzema deal, the transfers of Kanté to Fenerbahçe and En-Nesyri to Al-Ittihad have also been paused. All parties have already agreed on the terms, but the Professional League has yet to grant its approval.
