Ronald Koeman has drawn comparisons with Southgate ahead of the clash with England

Head coach of the Netherlands national team, Ronald Koeman, shared his expectations for the upcoming match against England in the semi-finals of Euro 2024.

"Southgate? We are both experienced coaches, but Gareth has been with the England national team much longer than I have [with the Netherlands]. We know each other very well, and our teams have played against each other several times. We defeated the English four or five years ago in the Nations League semi-final [3-1]. Hopefully, we will win again this time.

Preparation for the match? There are no significant differences from previous matches in this regard. Yes, we had fewer days to prepare for the match, but we didn't have extra time like England [in the quarter-finals]. Physically, the team is in great shape. We are focused, and we intend to show good football.

The match against Turkey? It was a deserved victory. We played an excellent second half and fought until the last second. The end was tough, but we showed character and determination and held on to the winning score," Koeman told UEFA.

The match between England and the Netherlands will take place today, July 10, and will start at 21:00 Central European Time.

It is worth noting that the winner of this match will face Spain, who defeated France 2-1, in the final.
