Romelu Lukaku is claimed by another top Serie A club
Another Italian club has shown interest in Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku, who spent the past season on loan at Roma.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, AC Milan has sent a request to Chelsea regarding the loan of the Belgian striker. However, the London club has made it clear that they are not interested in a loan deal and plan to sell Lukaku this summer.
Lukaku's contract includes a buyout clause of 38 million euros, and Chelsea will not be willing to sell him for a lower amount.
Napoli remains the favorite in the race for Lukaku, where he could reunite with Antonio Conte, under whom he played successfully at Inter.
Milan is searching for a new main central forward after Olivier Giroud's departure to LAFC.
In the recently concluded season, Lukaku played 47 matches across all competitions and scored 21 goals.
