One of the most prestigious tennis tournaments—Roland Garros—is entering its home stretch. On Tuesday, June 3, the first men's quarterfinals took place.

Details: The opening match saw world No. 7 Lorenzo Musetti take on Frances Tiafoe, the 16th-ranked player in the world. The battle lasted 2 hours and 50 minutes, during which the Italian outplayed his opponent 3-1. After splitting the first two sets 1-1, Musetti seized the initiative and powered through to the semifinals.

Just a few hours later, Musetti learned the name of his next opponent. Tommy Paul, world No. 12, faced off against Carlos Garcia, the world No. 2. The match turned out to be relatively straightforward for the Spaniard—Paul failed to mount much resistance. The first set ended 6-1, and the second followed suit at 6-1. Garcia faced his stiffest challenge in the third set, but ultimately prevailed 6-4.

As a result, the first men's semifinal will feature Lorenzo Musetti against Carlos Garcia. In the other quarterfinals, Sinner takes on Bublik, and Zverev faces Djokovic. Those matches are scheduled for Wednesday, June 4.

Reminder: The first women's semifinal pairing at Roland Garros has also been decided.
