Rodrygo is set to lose his starting spot as Ancelotti plans to make changes to Real Madrid’s llineup

Due to Real Madrid's congested fixture schedule, head coach Carlo Ancelotti will be forced to implement significant squad rotations, which will impact the playing time of some of the team's key players.
Details: According to Marca, in order to alleviate the workload on the attacking players, Ancelotti plans to shift to a formation featuring four midfielders in certain away matches. In this system, Arda Güler is expected to take a central role behind the forwards.
Meanwhile, Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé are considered untouchable by Ancelotti. As a result, Brazilian forward Rodrygo is likely to see reduced playing time.
Reminder: It was recently reported that Xabi Alonso could take over as Real Madrid’s head coach in the summer of 2025.
This season, Rodrygo has appeared in five matches, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
