Rodri’s Controversial Comparison: Salah vs Neymar and Vinicius Jr.
Rodri, the Spanish midfielder of Manchester City, has sparked conversation by stating that Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool, is not as skillful as Brazilian duo Neymar and Vinicius Jr. despite his undeniable influence on the pitch.
Salah played a key part in Liverpool's 2-0 Premier League triumph over Manchester City on Sunday, scoring and assisting.
In comments to Daily Mirror, Rodri praised Salah’s current form, saying, "Mohamed Salah is in the best form I’ve seen. I haven’t seen anyone play like that." However, he added, "He’s not as skillful as Neymar or Vinicius or that type of player, but he’s like a knife in terms of scoring, assisting, and helping his team."
Rodri left it at that: "In my opinion, Salah's level this season shows that he is still performing at the exceptional level he did four or five years ago."
So far this season, Salah has featured in 20 matches for Liverpool across all competitions, netting 13 goals and providing 11 assists.
