The world will soon find out the winner of the 2024 Ballon d'Or, and one of the top contenders for the award is Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri. The Spanish player has shared his thoughts on his chances of winning the prestigious trophy.

Details: In an interview with ESPN, Rodri expressed his dream of winning the Ballon d'Or but also spoke highly of his admiration for Vinícius Júnior.

“People say I'm going to fight for Ballon d’Or with Vinícius, who is someone I admire. He’s a great player”.

"Yes, of course it would be a DREAM for me! There are a lot of people who say if Rodri is going to win it, how, for example, did Iniesta or Xavi not win it?"

"In part, I agree. They were players who marked an era, some of the best in history, but it is also true that, at the end of the day, they were part of a generation that included Messi and Ronaldo..."

Reminder: Earlier, France Football announced the 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or, surprisingly excluding players like Rodrygo, Kevin De Bruyne, and Mohamed Salah.

The 2024 Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place on October 28.
