Spanish midfielder Rodri, currently at Manchester City, is not ruling out the possibility of leaving the "Citizens." It seems he already has an idea of where he might continue his career.
Details: According to El Nacional, Rodri is more inclined to join Barcelona than Real Madrid. These two clubs are considered the main contenders to sign the midfielder should he decide to leave City.
Rodri reportedly favors Barcelona for two reasons: first, he believes the team's playing style under Xavi suits him better; second, transferring to Real Madrid would feel like a betrayal to his former club, Atlético Madrid.
Interestingly, Rodri recently revealed that he has not yet begun talks about a new contract with Manchester City. He explained that the delay is due to his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury.
Reminder: Rodri, the recent Ballon d’Or winner, also noted that despite long-standing rumors linking Pep Guardiola with a departure from Manchester City, the manager remains committed to the club.
