Rocky Bushiri ruled out of the World Cup with DR Congo

Aaron Tshibola called up as a replacement.

Rocky Bushiri sustained an injury last Saturday during his club Hibernian FC’s league match against Motherwell FC. The Congolese international had played for no more than 15 minutes before leaving the pitch.

An injury that will ultimately prove costly for Rocky Bushiri. Initially selected by Sébastien Desabre for the World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, the defender is forced to withdraw from the competition.

This is a major blow for the Democratic Republic of Congo as it prepares for the tournament. However, the Congolese Football Federation has confirmed that Aaron Tshibola has been called up to replace Bushiri.
