Roberto Martínez to leave Portugal national team

Even if Portugal triumphs in the Nations League, Roberto Martínez will not be able to retain his position as head coach of the national team.
Details: According to SIC Noticias, the Portuguese Football Federation has decided not to keep the Spanish specialist at the helm ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Reportedly, dissatisfaction with Martínez's style and the way he has set up the "Seleção das Quinas" are among the reasons behind this decision.
It's worth noting that Roberto Martínez took charge of the Portugal national team in 2023.
The leading candidate to replace Martínez is 70-year-old Jorge Jesus, who recently became available after leaving Al Hilal.
Reminder: Reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo! José Mourinho could take charge of the Portugal national team as early as this summer.
