It appears that José Mourinho's career in Turkish football is drawing to a close.
Details: According to Turkish outlet HT Spor, the legendary Portuguese coach is set to leave Fenerbahçe at the end of this season.
What's more, Mourinho already has a preliminary agreement to become the next head coach of the Portugal national team.
Mourinho is expected to start his new role in July, right after the current Nations League campaign wraps up. The contract of Roberto Martínez, which was originally set to run until the summer of 2026, will be terminated.
In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Portugal will face Armenia, Hungary, and Ireland in their group.
Reminder: Previously, José Mourinho jokingly explained with his trademark irony how he picks Fenerbahçe's starting lineup.
