Roberto Martínez is on Manchester United's shortlist for head coach
The Manchester United board has begun compiling a list of candidates for the club's next head coach.
Details: According to Ben Jacobs, the name of current Portugal national team boss Roberto Martínez has come up during internal discussions at the club. The Red Devils are exploring a range of options to strengthen their coaching staff as part of their long-term vision for the club's future.
At this stage, Martínez is being considered as one of several possible options on a broad shortlist of potential managers. No official contact has been made with the Portuguese side yet, as the club is still in the process of internally selecting names.
It's worth noting that Martínez previously worked in England, managing clubs such as Everton and Wigan, and is currently the head coach of the Portugal national team.
Reminder: Manchester United and Chelsea have spent the most money over the past five years.
