Tottenham and the entire English football community have suffered an irreplaceable loss.

Details: London club Tottenham Hotspur has officially announced the passing of former player Terry Dyson. The legendary footballer has died at the age of 91. The club has extended its deepest and most sincere condolences to Terry's family and friends during this difficult time.

Dyson was a key figure in Bill Nicholson's iconic team that clinched the historic league and FA Cup double in 1961. It was Terry who netted the second goal in the cup final against Leicester at Wembley, sealing his team's triumph.

Two years later, the English winger helped Spurs achieve a groundbreaking success on the international stage: in the 1963 European Cup Winners’ Cup final against Atletico Madrid (5-1), Dyson scored twice as Tottenham became the first British team to lift a European trophy.

In total, Terry Dyson made 209 appearances for the London club across all competitions, scoring 56 goals. He remains forever in the club’s history as the only Tottenham player to have scored a hat-trick in a North London derby against Arsenal.
