RIP. Former Barcelona player and coach Lucien Muller has passed away
Sad news for the Blaugrana faithful.
Details: Today, Barcelona’s official account on social network X announced the passing of former player and coach Lucien Muller at the age of 91.
Muller joined Barcelona in 1965 from Real Madrid, making 125 appearances for the Blaugrana and scoring 5 goals as an attacking midfielder.
With Barcelona, he won the Copa del Rey and also became a La Liga champion.
In 1978, Muller returned to Barcelona, this time as head coach. However, his managerial stint at the club did not go as planned, and he left his post before the end of the season.
Beyond Barcelona, Lucien Muller also played for Strasbourg, Reims, and Real Madrid, and as a coach led Burgos, Castellón, Real Zaragoza, Barcelona, Mallorca, and Monaco.
