Richards Bay coach Ronnie Gabriel confirms Gabadinho Mhango is out on injury as captain Simphiwe Mcineka returns in the Nedbank Cup win over Siwelele
Ronnie Gabriel has confirmed key midfielder Gabadinho Mhango will be out of the tam for an indefinite period through injury.
Gabriel said the Malawian forward is expected to be out of the sidelines for a long period even though it is not clear it will be for how long.
“Gabadinho is still on the injury table, looks like a long-term injury,” said Gabriel.
“We just will be able to confirm going forward how many months.”
Gabriel was speaking after his side’s victory in the Nedbank Cup tie against Siwelele FC at a soaking Dr Molemela Stadium last night.
Richards Bay needed penalties to win the tie at the Mangaung venue.
The coached also confirmed the return of club captain Simphiwe Mcineka, who made his comeback after missing four matches through injury.
Mcineka featured in Richards Bay’s Nedbank Cup clash.
“Mcineka was injured, he has been training for the last two weeks and in the last week’s matchday squad,” he added.
“He’s getting back into the running and getting back into the field of play.
“Looking good in training. Excited to be back. So we are happy to have him back in the fold.”
