Gasperini continues to bolster the team's midfield.

Details: According to insider Nicolo Schira on social network X, Roma have made an official offer to Palmeiras for central midfielder Richard Rios.

The 25-year-old Rios has already given his consent to move from the Brazilian Serie A to the Italian league and has agreed on personal terms. Now, it’s up to the clubs to finalize the deal.

It is reported that Roma are offering Palmeiras €25 million, with a salary of €2.6 million per year for the player and a contract running until 2030.

At the moment, the parties are in active negotiations, and an official agreement could be signed as early as this week.

Previously, the media repeatedly mentioned interest in the player from Inter Milan and England’s Manchester United, but now these clubs are out of the race for the midfielder.

Last season, Rios played 35 matches for Palmeiras, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists, two of which came at the Club World Cup, where Palmeiras reached the quarterfinals.

The Colombian midfielder’s market value is estimated at €16 million according to Transfermarkt, and his current contract with the club runs until 2028.
