Gasperini calls on Kessié again. But Roma face transfer hurdles

Midfielder Franck Kessié is no stranger to Gian Piero Gasperini, as the coach previously worked with the Ivorian at Atalanta. Now, with his move to Roma, Gasperini hasn’t forgotten his former charge and is once again looking to bring him on board.
Details: According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 28-year-old midfielder could soon join the Giallorossi, and Kessié himself is reportedly interested in the switch. He’s even ready to accept a pay cut, stretching his contract over a longer period. The €14 million fee that Saudi club Al-Ahli is demanding for the transfer is not seen as an obstacle for Roma.
The real challenge for the Roman club is that, before opening negotiations, they need to balance their books by selling players—otherwise, they risk running afoul of UEFA regulations.
Worth noting: Earlier, Roma officially parted ways with midfielder Nicola Zalewski, who has now joined Inter.
