Riccardo Calafiori revealed the unusual method Arteta used to convince him to sign a contract

Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori shared the unusual method Mikel Arteta employed to persuade him to sign with the club last summer.

Quote: "The first thing that comes to mind about Arsenal is the organization. How much they care about each player from all perspectives, both on the field and especially off it.

As for Arteta, I was immediately struck by how much he cared about getting to know me better. One day, over the phone, he sent me a few pictures of my family and asked me to explain what each family member means to me.

Nothing like this had ever happened to me before. I'm not saying he convinced me only with this, but it was certainly an important and indicative moment," recalled Calafiori.

Reminder: It was previously reported that Real Madrid interested in Calafiori's services, but completing the transfer will not be easy.
