Return of a legend: Moyes favored for Everton managerial role

Today, Everton's management unexpectedly dismissed Sean Dyche from his position as head coach. It is already clear who might replace him.

Details: According to The Athletic, the favorite for the vacant position is legendary Scottish manager David Moyes.

The Friedkin family, the new owners of Everton, have reportedly begun preliminary negotiations with Moyes. An official announcement of his appointment is expected in the coming days.

Moyes previously managed Everton from March 2002 to June 2013. Under his leadership, the "Toffees" experienced some of the most successful times in their history. After leaving Everton, Moyes went on to manage Manchester United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland, and most recently, West Ham, where he was dismissed last summer.

Reminder: Everton dismissed Dyche on the same day as their FA Cup Round of 32 match against Peterborough.
