Fans are demanding explanations from Laporta.
Details: According to journalist Javi Miguel, the management of Barcelona has denied 46-year-old legendary midfielder Xavi the chance to participate in the club's legends match.
Reports say that Xavi personally asked the club for permission to play in the recent legends fixtures, but the current Blaugrana board told the Spaniard that he is not a particularly welcome guest at Camp Nou.
Most likely, Joan Laporta's position towards Xavi is linked to the fact that during Barcelona's presidential elections, Xavi criticized Laporta and supported his rival.
Xavi is a product of Barcelona's academy, having progressed through every stage of the Catalan football school before joining the first team in 1998.
Xavi left Barcelona in 2015 to join Qatari side Al-Sadd. In 2021, Xavi returned to Barcelona as head coach, a position he held until 2024.
Reminder: Barcelona offer contract to Manchester City star and are ready to negotiate with the club
