Sipho Mbule is headed for the exit door at Betway Premiership champions Orlando Pirates.

Mbule is reportedly not having his contract renewed by the PSL side after having a rather cold season at the club at much fanfare when he arrived at the start of the campaign.

In the matches he played, Mbule showed his pure class and bossed the midfield but for some odd reason he never commanded a regular place under Abdeslam Ouaddou.

Mbule joined Pirates from Sekhukhune United after Mamleodi Sundowns terminated his deal with him following a string of ill-discipline at Babina Noko, where he was on loan.

It looked as though he was headed for a right direction in his career as Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, even took him to the Africa Cup of Nations, where he was a key player.

But that Afcon spark faded as he failed to rekindle the kind of form which took him to Morocco in being instrumental in Pirates' PSL triumph.

It will be interesting which team would hand him a lifeline as Mbule is know to have off the field challenges.
