Reports in Belgium links Orlando Pirates' Relebohile Mofokeng to a move to ST Gilloise
Reports in Belgium have linked Relebohile Mofokeng to a move to St Gilloise for the new season.
According to a report in that country's Niewsblad, Mofokeng is expected to arrive in the Western European country late this week to finalise personal terms with the club.
The report suggest that both Orlando Pirates and St Gilloise have reached an agreement over the player's transfer to Europe.
There is a South African link with the Belgian side, which gives strength to the reports, as former Mamelodi Sundowns Head of Academy Shawn Bishop works as Head of Methodology at the Belgian side.
Also present at the club is Orlando Pirates assistant coach Chris O’Loughlin works as the club’s Sporting Director.
Mofokeng returns with South Africa's national side, Bafana Bafana, from a historic 2026 World Cup, where Mofokeng starred in midfield, ironically, under Bafana's Belgian coach, Hugo Broos.
The two games against Czechia and South Korea were the youngsters best games while in the 1-0 loss Canada, Mofokeng was not as impressive.
But that did not end St Gilloise's interest in him.
