Following the departure of first-choice goalkeeper Joan Garcia, the coaching staff immediately began searching for potential replacements for the young shot-stopper.

Details: Espanyol's official page on social network X announced the signing of Leganés goalkeeper Marko Dmitrović to the Catalan club.

The 33-year-old Dmitrović previously played for Leganés, but their partnership ended with the expiration of his contract.

It has been reported that the goalkeeper has signed a three-year deal with Espanyol, running until 2028. Further details of the transfer will be revealed in due course.

This move is widely regarded as a direct replacement for Joan Garcia, who left for Barcelona and has already been dubbed a "Judas" by some fans.

Last season, Marko featured in 32 matches, keeping 10 clean sheets.
