NPFL: Remo Stars Dismiss Rumour of Sacking Coach Daniel Ogunmodede
Remo Stars Football Club has dismissed rumors suggesting that head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has been sacked. The club confirmed that Ogunmodede remains fully in charge of the team’s technical setup and continues to play an important role in the club’s progress.
In an official statement released on Wednesday via their X (formerly Twitter) handle, Remo Stars clarified that “our Head Coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, remains an integral part of our technical crew and continues to serve as the Head Coach of Remo Stars FC.”
The statement further explained that Ogunmodede is currently attending a CAF B coaching course in Abuja as part of his ongoing professional development and commitment to continuous learning.
Remo Stars’ next game will be the rescheduled Matchday 10 fixture against Nasarawa United on November 6, 2025, at the Lafia Township Stadium. The Sky Blue Stars will head into the encounter desperate to end their current four-game losing streak, which includes a disappointing CAF Champions League exit after suffering a heavy 7–1 aggregate defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.
