NPFL: Nasarawa United Coach Mbwas Mangut Says "We’re Glad to Return to Winning Ways" After 2-1 Comeback Over Remo Stars

Nasarawa United’s Technical Adviser, Mbwas Mangut, expressed his delight after guiding the team to a hard-fought 2-1 comeback victory over NPFL defending champions Remo Stars in a rescheduled Matchday 10 clash at the Lafia City Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Speaking after the match, Nasarawa United’s technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, praised his team’s resilience and highlighted the importance of returning to form.

“It’s been a very difficult period for us, especially the last three weeks, but we are glad to return to winning ways again,” Mangut told the club media. “We lost two straight matches on the road, which was difficult to swallow. But the boys responded positively today, showing that they want to compete at the highest level.”

Looking ahead, Mangut emphasized the importance of maintaining focus as Nasarawa United prepares to face Kwara United this weekend.

“Our game against Kwara is a different ball game entirely. We will approach it with a different mindset because they are also a good side.
We want to remain in contention for the league title this season, which is why we are not taking any game lightly.”
