Relebohile Mofokeng on Orlando Pirates' 3-0 over Marumo Gallants: This win shows that we are a team on top of the Betway Premiership

Orlando Pirates’ 3-0 victory over Marumo Gallants was a depiction of the fact that they are the current Betway Premiership leaders.

Pirates win over the Bloemfontein side, at the Orlando Amstel Arena, was a show of a championship seeking side.

This is according to the Sea Robbers midfielder Relebohile Mofokeng.

Yanela Mbuthuma profited from a Mofokeng assist to net the first goal, Patrick Maswanganyi and Mofokeng scored the second and third goals, respectively.

The three points saw Pirates extend their lead atop of the PSL standings to six points ahead of Sundowns who are second on the standings.

“Very tough one, playing Marumo is always tough. They beat us first leg, so I think now we had to show ourselves we had to step up and show that we are number one, we are leading the log,” Mofokeng told OP TV.

“So, I think we doing great, six points now and going to the next game we have to improve we have to do our best so that we keep on staying there.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to you. We gave it to you. If you don’t have a date, we gave you three points.”

Mofokeng will be expected to play a leading role again on Tuesday night when Pirates host Sundowns at FNB Stadium in a top of the table clash.
