Relebohile Mofokeng describes his maiden Africa Cup of Nations as a ‘difficult’ one.

The 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco was Mofokeng’s maiden international tournament of his career and the youngster said it was not as easy.

In the group stages, Mofokeng only played against Egypt as a late substitute while missing the games against Zimbabwe and Angola.

His start was in the last-16 against Cameroon in what was Bafana’s last game in North Africa as the Indomitable Lions knocked them out by winning 2-1.

“I think it my first AFCON was difficult because you play against star players from around the world,” said Mofokeng on SABC.

“I think it was very difficult, but I learned a lot. I saw what happens [at the tournament] now I have a bit of experience I think it will be better next time.”
