The Austrian continues his career in England.

Details: Today, Nottingham Forest officially announced on their X social media page that Austria international midfielder Xaver Schlager has joined the club.

The 29-year-old has signed as a free agent, penning a contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028.

Schlager becomes Nottingham Forest’s first signing since Oliver Glasner took over as head coach. This isn’t the first time the Austrian manager and midfielder have worked together — they previously enjoyed a successful spell at German side Wolfsburg.

After seven seasons in the Bundesliga, Schlager embarks on a new chapter in his career in the Premier League, where he will look to help Nottingham Forest achieve big results under the guidance of a familiar coach.
