Reigning champions PSG set to extend contract with their head coach
Luis Enrique took charge of PSG in 2023 and, within just two seasons, led the club to UEFA Champions League glory. The club’s hierarchy has recognised this achievement and is preparing a new deal.
Details: According to Fabrice Hawkins, the Parisians have reached an agreement with head coach Luis Enrique over a new contract. He is expected to sign a deal running until the summer of 2030 in the near future. Moreover, Enrique is set to become one of the highest-paid managers in Europe.
It was recently reported that the Spanish coach currently boasts a 64% win rate in the UEFA Champions League. Among managers who have overseen 50 or more matches, this is the best record. He has registered 48 wins in 75 games.
Reminder: In another UEFA Champions League quarter-final, Liverpool played away against PSG, where a controversial penalty incident occurred in the second half.
