Reforms! FIFA forced to introduce new rule for the World Cup after scandal involving Real Madrid star
Now, manifestations of racism will be punished even more severely.
Details: According to The Guardian, FIFA has approved the implementation of the "Prestiani Law" at the 2026 World Cup following the recent scandal involving Benfica player and Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior.

It is reported that now, if a player covers their mouth with a hand while speaking to an opponent, they may be punished with a straight red card. This rule is being introduced to prevent situations like the Prestiani–Vinícius incident, when it was impossible to prove anything because the Argentine's mouth was covered by his hand.
Prestiani himself ultimately received a six-match suspension, but not for racism—instead, it was for homophobia, as he admitted to using a harsh homophobic slur against Vinícius.
Reminder: Brazil international defender set for surgery. He will miss the World Cup
