Brazil international defender set for surgery. He will miss the World Cup
During a Spanish La Liga match, centre-back Éder Militão suffered an injury that has now been confirmed as very serious.
Details: According to Cahê Mota, the Brazilian will undergo surgery on Tuesday, April 28, in Finland. The defender had hoped to avoid the procedure and still feature at the World Cup.
However, after examination, the doctor delivered a clear verdict: without surgery, his career could be placed at risk. His return to the pitch is expected in October.
We previously also reported that concern was rising at both Real Madrid and within the French national team over the condition of their star player Kylian Mbappé. The French striker was forced to leave the field in the 81st minute of last Friday’s La Liga Round 31 clash against Real Betis.
Reminder: A run of disappointing results has cast doubt over the current Real Madrid squad, and the club is considering parting ways with several players, including some high-profile names.
