Chelsea are preparing for their Premier League fixture against Leeds, but the Blues will be without their on-field leader in the starting XI.
Details: Head coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Reece James will not start. The club is closely monitoring the defender and managing his fitness.
Quote: “I would love him to start every match, but we need to take care of him. As for his position, he has been a full-back his entire life, but he can also play in midfield. He’s strong in both roles. When he moves into the middle, we aim to add more physicality and power in that area. So his position depends on what we need for a particular match,” Enzo Maresca said.
In Matchday 14 of the Premier League, Chelsea travel to Leeds. The game will take place on Wednesday, 3 December, with kick-off scheduled for 21:15 CET.
Reminder: One of the key questions for supporters is whether 23-year-old Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer will feature for the Blues.
