The head coach of the Londoners clarified the situation regarding his attacking midfielder at the pre-match press conference:
"Cole Palmer is ready to play. He was on the bench in the last match. When we were down to ten men, it was more difficult for Cole to come on because he still needs to regain his fitness. The plan is to give him some minutes until he’s ready to play the full 90." Maresca stated.
Cole Palmer continues his recovery after suffering a broken finger injury, which he picked up at home over the weekend.
This season, due to a series of injuries, Palmer has managed to play only 4 matches and scored 2 goals.
