The British Grand Prix qualifying session at Silverstone came to a halt under red flags following an incident involving Alpine’s Argentinian driver Franco Colapinto.
During the opening segment, Colapinto lost control of his car at the final corner, slid into the gravel trap, and clipped the barrier. The car sustained damage, leaving the driver unable to return to the pits under his own power and forcing him to stop right on the track. As a result, officials decided to temporarily suspend the session.
It’s worth noting that qualifying resumed after the aftermath of the crash was cleared.
