Crystal Palace have decided to splash the cash like never before in their history.

Details: Crystal Palace have officially announced the signing of Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson. The transfer fee stands at £35 million, marking a record-breaking deal for the London club.

Earlier this week, Tottenham accepted the Eagles’ offer, leaving the final decision in the hands of the player himself. After a face-to-face meeting with Palace manager Oliver Glasner, the 24-year-old gave the green light to the move and penned a contract running until summer 2030. Johnson will wear the number 11 shirt for his new club.

This season, Johnson has rarely featured in Tottenham’s starting XI, making just six starts under Thomas Frank. Since joining Spurs from Nottingham Forest a year ago, Johnson has made 107 appearances and scored 27 goals.

Reminder: Crystal Palace have set their sights on Wolverhampton defender Jørgen Strand Larsen.
