Reassuring news for Lamine Camara after Monaco - Nantes
Sébastien Pocognoli was optimistic about the Senegalese midfielder.
Lamine Camara did not finish the French Ligue 1 match between Monaco and Nantes (3-1) on Friday 13 February. The Senegalese midfielder was replaced by Ansu Fati in the 62nd minute after a heavy tackle on his Achilles heel.
The injury caused concern for the Monaco player. But after the match, the AS Monaco coach gave an update on his condition. Sébastien Pocognoli was reassuring about the Senegalese international.
‘For Lamine, it's a precautionary measure, as we did with Balogun and Vanderson.’
So it was more of a scare than anything else for Lamine Camara. Monaco could count on him next week for the match against PSG in the Champions League play-offs. Senegal can also breathe a sigh of relief as the March 2026 international break approaches.
