The saga surrounding Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin appears to be coming to a close. He has decided to fulfill the final year of his contract, according to Sport.es.

Real Madrid had hoped to extend the Ukrainian's contract, but Lunin was uncertain about his future. The club was prepared to sell Lunin for €25 million, but no buyers emerged. Despite having Jorge Mendes as his agent, it was surprising that Lunin did not receive any offers.

This situation is partly due to Lunin's decision to complete his contract, which expires this summer. This will allow him to freely determine his future starting in January and potentially secure a significant salary increase as a free agent.

Recently, agent Jorge Mendes reportedly confirmed to the club that Andriy Lunin would remain with the team for the 2024/25 season. This is because Mendes has exhausted attractive offers for Lunin's career extension.

Additionally, Brazilian newcomer Endrick has not ruled out the possibility of leaving the club on loan as early as winter.
