Real Madrid plans to retain goalkeeper Andriy Lunin in their squad.

According to Relevo, after the season ends, the club will offer the Ukrainian goalkeeper a new contract with improved terms. It is expected that Lunin will accept this offer, as he has always dreamed of playing as the main goalkeeper for Los Blancos.

Lunin's current contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2025. The club will propose a new contract extension until 2028.

Following Thibaut Courtois's serious knee injury that he sustained in the summer, Kepa Arrizabalaga, loaned from Chelsea, initially became Real Madrid's main goalkeeper. However, during winter, Lunin won the competition against him.

In the current season, the 25-year-old Ukrainian has played 23 matches for Real Madrid across all competitions, keeping 10 clean sheets.

As a reminder, Courtois suffered a new knee injury yesterday, which means Lunin will be the main goalkeeper for the rest of the season.
