Real Madrid remains deeply unhappy with refereeing standards in Spain and is preparing a proposal to reform the system.
Details: According to Cadena SER, Real Madrid will present a new plan next week aimed at introducing changes to Spanish refereeing.
Quote: "The plan will be based on transparency, on knowing what is said in the VAR room, and on ensuring that mistakes are acknowledged when they occur," insiders revealed.
Notably, Real Madrid has been granted permission to review VAR communications from a recent match. On Monday, February 17, the Technical Committee of Referees will host a Madrid delegation to listen to the recordings.
Real Madrid has also budgeted for a Champions League quarterfinal appearance this season. If they fail to progress, the club will suffer financial losses.
Reminder. Real Madrid’s leadership criticized the work of the refereeing team in the match against Espanyol (0:1), pointing out several serious mistakes by the referee. As a result, Madrid filed a complaint with the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
