Real Madrid targets the best player of Euro U-19

The young Dutchman is on Perez's radar.

Details: According to AS, Kees Smit has seriously attracted the interest of Real Madrid as a promising long-term reinforcement for the squad.

The 19-year-old central midfielder was named the best player of the recent U-19 European Championship, where he led the Netherlands to triumph. Currently, Kees is a player for AZ Alkmaar, having risen through the club's youth ranks to become one of the key figures in the first team.

Last season, Kees played 30 matches for AZ, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists. Transfermarkt estimates Smit's value at 5 million euros, but following his recent success and with a contract running until 2028, his price is expected to rise significantly.
