Yesterday saw the final match of the Champions League, in which Real Madrid triumphed over Borussia Dortmund with a score of 2-0. The second goal in the match was scored by one of the team's main star players – Vinícius Júnior.

After the match, the Brazilian forward made a statement urging Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez to offer him a contract extension. His words, as reported by Relevo, were:

"I am very happy to be able to stay here for so long. I hope the president watches this interview and makes me an offer again.

I want to stay here forever, I want to make history, as Toni [Kroos] did, as Luka [Modrić], [Dani] Carvajal, Nacho [Fernández]. Players who won six [Champions Leagues] and showed us this path. I want to continue like them."

Let us remind you that the Brazilian’s contract runs until 2027 and amid talk of Kylian Mbappe’s imminent arrival to the team, rumors were spreading about a possible transfer of the striker.

Vinícius is having an incredible season. Alongside Real Madrid, he has won the La Liga title, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Champions League. He has scored 24 goals in all competitions, and he is considered one of the main contenders for the Ballon d'Or.

Surely, Real Madrid fans want to continue seeing the Brazilian in their team's lineup and would not be opposed to such an intriguing proposition from the forward.
