Real Madrid resumes contract talks with Rüdiger
Earlier negotiations between the two sides had been put on hold.
Details: According to renowned journalist Florian Plettenberg, Real Madrid has informed 32-year-old German defender Antonio Rüdiger that contract renewal talks are back on the table.
Previously, discussions regarding a new deal between Rüdiger and the club were underway, but following a hamstring injury, the Madrid side decided to pause the process to assess the extent and timeline of Antonio's recovery.
Rüdiger has also received offers from Saudi Arabia, but the player himself intends to stay at Real Madrid to maintain his high level of play.
This season, Rüdiger has made just one appearance for Real before being sidelined by a serious knee injury. His return to the pitch is expected in mid-December.
Rüdiger's current contract with Real runs until the summer of 2026, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at 15 million euros.
