It's been almost three years since Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos made the decision to stop playing for the German national team, but it hasn't been long since he's been without appearances for the Bundestim.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Kroos will return to the German national squad in March for friendlies against France (23 March) and the Netherlands (26 March).

The 34-year-old midfielder previously played for the German national team from 2010-2021. In 11 years in the Bundesteam, he played 106 matches at international level, in which he scored 17 goals. In 2014, Kroos triumphed with the German national team at the World Cup.

The March matches will be the last before the European Championship, where the German national team will play Scotland (14 June), Hungary (19 June) and Switzerland (23 June) in the group stage.

The Hungarians will also be Julian Nagelsmann's team's opponents in the Nations League, where, in addition to them, the Germans will face teams from the Netherlands and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
