Real Madrid leader will miss Euro 2024

Belgium goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has made an important decision regarding participation in the European Championship in 2024.

The footballer has already informed his club, Real Madrid, that he will not go to the tournament. HLN writes about this with reference to Radio Marca.

As you know, the experienced goalkeeper is currently undergoing rehabilitation after a serious knee injury he received at the end of the summer.

According to the forecasts of the Spanish club's doctors, Courtois will return to the field no earlier than May 2024. Thus, there is a possibility that he will not have time to prepare 100 percent for the European Championship.

The source writes that Courtois has already decided not to go to the European Championship. The footballer himself is also determined to use his summer vacation to continue his rehabilitation.

It is reasonable to remind that according to the results of the Euro 2024 draw, Belgium will play in Group E at the Euro. The teams of Slovakia, Romania and the winner of Path B of the Nations League play-offs were included there.
